Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez is a Cuban-American television arbitrator who is featured on Caso Cerrado and Ana Polo Rules. Ana was raised in Havana, Cuba. Her move to Miami along with her family at the age of 2 following her move from Havana. Ana Maria Polo from Habana is the presenter and host for Telemundo's "Caso Cerrado" which is among the most watched Spanish-language programs on the network. It was a finalist for one of the Daytime Entertainment Emmy for Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards in 2015. In 2015 it ranked as the highest in all key demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. After graduating from Florida International University's political sciences program, she made the move to Havana where she stayed for twenty years. Then she earned an PhD in Law from the University of Miami, and practiced for twenty years within Miami. After obtaining her PhD at the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for over 20 years. Polo first appeared on television in 2001 on Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. She was also a part of court shows that tapped into her experience. Literature Accolades She published Los Hijos Muertos in 1958. The novel received the Critic's Prize and the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute left Spain for the United States in 1960. Polo is the breast cancer survivor regularly raises funds for the cause and speaks at events. She has advocated for LGBT rights throughout her career. She has been a Florida Bar-member since 1987. She graduated from law from University of Miami School of Law.
